Heavy period with clotting?

I am 34 years old and since I had my son almost 2 years ago my periods are heavier than they were before I had him. Some months are worse than others. This month happens to be pretty bad - I am on my 3rd day and still bleeding heavy with clots on the paper when I wipe. I notice I bleed MORE when I have to move my bowels - I am not sure if pushing the stool out is causing the excess bleeding but it is scary. I hemorrhaged 3x after I had my son, so I am always thinking that when I get these bad periods. I cannot take the Pill b/c I have liver tumors. Anyone else out there dealing with heavy periods and clots?
